Blue Glass Bottle, White Spray, 100 ml

A blue glass bottle with a capacity of 100 ml and a white fine mist sprayer is ready-made packaging for thin cosmetic products applied by spraying. It is suitable for facial toners, hydrosols and refreshing mists, hair sprays and light body waters containing alcohol.

The sprayer is part of the set, so you do not need to choose a closure. The set is declared as suitable for contact with cosmetics.

What the set is suitable for

• Toners and hydrosols – low-viscosity water-based solutions spray evenly in a fine mist, which makes application to the face more convenient than pouring onto a cotton pad.
• Face and body mists – light moisturising sprays with glycerine, aloe or hyaluronic acid at a low concentration.
• Hair sprays – leave-in conditioners and light hair waters without thickeners.
• Alcohol-based solutions – perfumed waters or body sprays. With a higher proportion of alcohol or essential oils, we recommend checking the behaviour of the sprayer in advance with your specific formulation.
• Samples and test batches – a volume of 100 ml is enough to try out a formulation before making a larger quantity.

How the set works

The sprayer draws the contents up through a tube reaching to the bottom of the bottle and releases approximately 0.13 ml of the product as a mist with a single press. The dose is constant, so you can easily estimate consumption and the number of applications from one bottle. The sprayer works best in an upright position. If you tilt a bottle with a small amount of contents left, the tube may draw in air.

Thicker liquids, oils or emulsions cannot be sprayed reliably. Oil comes out of the nozzle as a stream rather than a mist, and thickened products can clog the nozzle. For such contents, a bottle with a pump or a dropper is more suitable.

Nominal and total volume

The nominal volume is the amount the bottle is intended for in normal filling. The total brimful volume is the physical volume up to the neck, and you will find it in the parameters. The difference between them leaves room for the sprayer tube and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. If the bottle is filled to the neck, the contents overflow when the tube is inserted and the sprayer is harder to tighten.

Good to know

Before the first filling, wash the bottle, disinfect it with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and let it dry completely. Rinse the sprayer with clean water or diluted alcohol and pump it several times so that the tube and nozzle are rinsed as well.

Glass withstands repeated washing, but not a sudden change in temperature. Let a hot solution cool before filling. The sprayer is made of polypropylene. For formulations with a high proportion of essential oils or other solvents, we recommend checking its tightness on a small sample.

The set is intended for repeated use. When you change the contents to a different product, always rinse the sprayer so that residues of the previous formulation do not get into the new one. When recycling, separate the glass from the plastic sprayer. The bottle goes in glass recycling and the sprayer in plastics.
