Product description
Glass bottle, white, nasal spray, 100 ml is a complete set combining an opaque white glass bottle with a dispenser with fine atomisation and a narrow application nozzle. It is suitable for thin cosmetic preparations applied in small, precisely measured doses: facial mists, tonics, hydrolates or refreshing skin sprays. Opaque white glass protects the contents from light, so it can also be used for formulations with more sensitive ingredients. The bottle and dispenser are matched, so the set is ready for filling without having to select a separate closure.
How the set works
The dispenser is a mechanical pump with a push head shaped as a narrow applicator. When pressed, it draws the contents through a dip tube from the bottle and disperses it into a fine mist. One dose is approximately 0.12 ml, significantly less than with standard sprayers. This makes it suitable for preparations where only a small amount needs to be applied to a small area, for example around the eyes, on the lips or on small skin areas. The dip tube is sized to fit this bottle and reaches the bottom, so the contents can be used up with almost no residue.
Before first use, press the pump several times on empty until the dip tube fills and the dispenser begins to spray evenly. This is normal behaviour for mechanical pumps, not a defect.
Suitable for products such as
- Facial mists and tonics – thin aqueous preparations applied in small amounts where a fine mist replaces a cotton pad.
- Hydrolates – floral and herbal waters sensitive to light; opaque glass helps preserve their scent and colour.
- Refreshing and soothing sprays – aqueous and hydro-alcoholic low-viscosity preparations intended for facial or body skin.
- Precisely dosed active solutions – low-viscosity aqueous serums where applying a small, repeatable amount is important.
Nominal and total volume
For each container we distinguish two volumes. Nominal volume is the amount the container is intended for when normally filled. Total brim-full volume is the physical volume of the bottle up to the neck and is somewhat larger. The difference between them is a reserve for the dip tube and pump mechanism, which take up some space once screwed in, and for expansion of the contents with temperature changes. The bottle is therefore filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim. Overfilling may cause the contents to spill over the neck when closing and contaminate the thread, which impairs the seal.
What is worth knowing
Preparation before first filling. We recommend washing the bottle, disinfecting it with ethanol or isopropyl alcohol and allowing it to dry completely. The dispenser dip tube only needs to be rinsed with clean water or alcohol and left to drain. The contents should be filled cold, as the dispenser contains plastic parts and glass does not tolerate sudden temperature changes.
Material resistance. Glass is chemically stable and tolerates aqueous, alcoholic and oil-based preparations. However, the dispenser has a plastic mechanism and a steel spring that come into contact with the contents. For formulations with a higher proportion of essential oils, solvents, or at low pH, we recommend verifying the pump's behaviour with the finished formulation, especially its seal and consistency of spraying.
Viscosity of contents. The pump is designed for thin, aqueous and hydro-alcoholic liquids. Thicker preparations, gels or pure vegetable oils spray poorly or not at all through the narrow nozzle and a stream may come out instead of a mist. Suitability for oily contents must be verified by testing.
The dispenser is not an airless system. With each press, air is drawn into the bottle, so aqueous preparations filled into this set require preservation verified for the given type of formulation.
Labelling. White glass provides a uniform opaque surface on which a label reads clearly without the contents showing through.
Repeated use. The glass bottle can be reused after thorough washing and disinfection. After emptying, we recommend rinsing the dispenser with clean water by pumping several times and leaving it to dry. If residues of old contents or scent remain inside, it is better to use a new dispenser.
Intended use. The set is declared as suitable for contact with cosmetic products; the declaration of conformity is available with the product. It is not approved for contact with food. If you plan to use the container for a type of preparation other than cosmetics, suitability must be assessed separately.
Recycling. The bottle goes in glass. The dispenser is made of plastic and metal, so we recommend separating it from the bottle before recycling.
Other closures. Other closures with the same neck type also fit the bottle; ready-made combinations can be found in the Handymade range. For a custom combination, we recommend verifying the seal and dosing with the specific formulation.
