Amber Glass Bottle, White Lotion Pump, 30 ml

A ready-made set for filling serums and light creams: brown glass bottle with a nominal volume of 30 ml and a white cream pump with a transparent cap that screws directly onto the neck. Brown glass reduces light exposure to the contents, which is especially appreciated with serums containing vitamins, plant extracts, or oils susceptible to oxidation. The pump dispenses the contents in small doses, so the bottle does not need to be opened or touched with fingers.

The 30 ml volume corresponds to the standard size of a facial serum, eye cream, light facial emulsion, or décolleté fluid. The set is declared as suitable for contact with cosmetic products and is intended precisely for them.

Why choose this combination

• Light protection – brown glass transmits less light than clear glass, helping to slow down light-induced changes in colour and scent of the contents. However, it does not replace an antioxidant or preservative in the formulation.
• Hygienic dispensing – the contents exit only through the pump nozzle; fingers and spatulas do not enter the bottle. This is an advantage with water-phase emulsions, where every contact with skin increases microbial load.
• Precise small doses – one press releases approximately 0.14 ml. The customer will not over-apply the product and the packaging lasts longer.
• Inert glass – glass does not react with essential oils, vegetable oils, or common active ingredients, so it does not affect the scent or composition of the contents.

Which products is the set suitable for

The cream pump is designed for low to medium viscosity emulsions: facial serums, light moisturising creams, fluids, eye creams, liquid O/W emulsions, aftershave milks, or light hand creams in travel size. It can also handle gel serums based on thickeners, provided the gel is not too firm.

The set is not suitable for thick creams, butters, balms, and anhydrous solid preparations. The pump tube will not draw up such contents, or it dispenses them unevenly and dries out at the nozzle. Thin aqueous tonics can be dispensed, but a spray is more practical for such a small dose.

Nominal and total volume

For every container we distinguish between nominal volume and total volume to the brim. The nominal volume is the quantity the bottle is designed for under normal filling, which is stated on the label. The total volume is the physical space up to the neck. The difference between them provides clearance for the tube and pump body, which take up space once screwed on, and for the expansion of the contents with temperature change. The bottle should therefore be filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim. If overfilled, the contents will be forced out through the thread when the pump is screwed on and the set will not seal.

What is useful to know before filling

Before first use, wash the bottle, disinfect with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and allow to dry completely. For the pump, rinse with warm water, press it empty several times and leave to dry. Residual water in the tube would otherwise dilute the first doses of the product.

After screwing on the pump, press it empty several times until the tube fills and the product begins to come out. This is normal behaviour for any pump, not a defect. The tube is longer than the height of the bottle, so trim it at an angle so it ends just above the bottom. This way it draws up as much of the contents as possible.

The pump is not an airless system. With each press, air enters the bottle to replace the dispensed volume. For oxidation-sensitive ingredients, antioxidant protection is therefore still necessary, and for emulsions with a water phase, proper preservation.

The transparent cap protects the pump nozzle from dust and accidental pressing during transport. When shipping finished products, we recommend fitting the cap and packaging the bottle so that the nozzle does not draw air into the tube.

The certificate for direct food contact applies to the glass bottle alone. The pump does not have it, so the set as a whole is not intended for food but for cosmetics. When sorting waste, the pump is unscrewed and goes into plastics, the bottle into glass. Label dimensions are available in the product parameters.
