Product description
Blue glass and a black sprayer in one set: a glass bottle with a nominal volume of 15 ml in a vial shape, designed for liquid preparations applied by gentle spraying. Suitable for hydrosols, facial and hair tonics, refreshing mists, alcohol solutions, or perfume waters in travel or sample sizes. The small volume is ideal when you want to let someone try a formulation, prepare a sample for a customer, or carry a preparation with you.
Blue glass limits light access to the contents, which is an advantage for hydrosols, solutions with plant extracts, or compositions with essential oils. Glass also does not react with alcohol or fragrance components, making it a suitable choice for alcohol-based and perfume preparations that some plastics might degrade over time.
Why choose this set
- Fine dosing – the sprayer disperses the contents into fine droplets, so the preparation is applied evenly without dripping. Each press releases a small amount, saving the contents and enabling precise application.
- Light protection – the tinted glass slows changes in scent and colour of light-sensitive contents. For particularly sensitive ingredients, store the bottle away from direct sunlight as well.
- Ready-to-use combination – the sprayer is matched to the bottle neck, so there is no need to select a closure separately. The set is supplied by the piece, ready to wash and fill.
- Reusable – glass withstands thorough washing and disinfection; the sprayer just needs to be rinsed and flushed with clean water.
What works in the bottle and what doesn't
The sprayer works reliably with thin, aqueous or alcohol-based liquids. It sprays evenly: hydrosols, tonics with a low proportion of glycerin, facial mists with solubilised essential oils, textile refresher solutions, or perfume water samples.
Less suitable for thick serums, gels, and pure vegetable oils. Viscous contents will not atomise into a fine mist – they come out in drops or a stream, and the sprayer may clog. If you want to spray an oil blend, test it first with one unit and check whether the sprayer doses as needed.
The suction tube of the sprayer is longer than the height of the bottle. Before first use, trim it at an angle so that it ends just above the bottom. This ensures suction down to the last drops and prevents the tube from bending inside the bottle.
Nominal and total volume
Nominal volume is the amount the bottle is designed to hold during normal filling. Total volume to the brim is the physical volume up to the neck and is always greater. The difference accounts for the tube and sprayer body, which occupy some space once screwed in, and for slight expansion of the contents with temperature changes. The bottle should therefore be filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim. Filling right to the neck would cause some contents to be pushed out when the sprayer is attached, risking leakage at the thread.
What is good to know before filling
Before first use, wash the bottle with warm water and a mild detergent, rinse thoroughly, and disinfect with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. Leave it to dry completely with the neck facing down. Rinse the sprayer by pumping clean water or alcohol through it several times, then pump empty to clear any remaining liquid from the tube and nozzle.
For repeated use, the same procedure applies. If the bottle previously held a perfume water or a preparation with a strong scent, be aware that the plastic parts of the sprayer may retain some of the fragrance. For new contents with a different scent, it is therefore better to use a new sprayer.
The sprayer carries a declaration of suitability for contact with cosmetic products. The set is not intended for food use, including oils or syrups for the kitchen.
During prolonged storage of a filled bottle, residual preparation in the nozzle dries out and the first press may deliver less. One or two empty pumps are enough to restore even dosing.
The bottle body is made of glass; the tube and sprayer body are made of polypropylene. When disposing of the packaging, disassemble it: glass goes with glass, the sprayer with plastics. The label adheres to the cylindrical part of the bottle.
