Gloss Black Glass Bottle, White Spray, 30 ml

This black glossy glass bottle with a white fine mist sprayer and a capacity of 30 ml is designed for toners, facial mists and perfume waters that need protection from light. Black glass does not let light through, so the contents are protected on a shelf or in a bathroom as well. With each press, the sprayer releases a small metered dose, so the toner or mist is applied evenly and without spilling.

The set is declared suitable for contact with cosmetics. The glass bottle on its own has a certificate for direct food contact, but the sprayer does not, so the set as a whole is intended for cosmetic products.

What it is suitable for

A volume of 30 ml suits smaller packs, samples and products that are carried around. The sprayer works with thin liquids, so the set is best used for:

• Facial toners and mists – water-based and hydrosol-based products applied directly to the face or onto a cotton pad.
• Perfume and body waters – alcohol-based compositions, where dark glass helps keep the fragrance unaffected by light.
• Hair mists and refreshers – light water-based or water-alcohol blends for moistening hair or the scalp.
• Hand disinfectant sprays – alcohol-based solutions in a small pack for a handbag or for travel.
• Samples and travel packs – a smaller quantity from a larger batch, when you need to test stability or hand out samples.

Thick oils, creamy lotions and products with a thickener will not pass through the sprayer or will clog it. For such contents, we recommend combining the bottle with a different type of closure with the same neck.

Volume and filling

Nominal volume is the quantity the packaging is designed for under normal filling. Brimful volume is the physical volume of the bottle up to the neck, and you can find it in the parameters. The difference between them leaves room for the sprayer dip tube, which takes up part of the space once screwed on, and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. The bottle is therefore filled up to the nominal volume, never to the brim.

On first use, the sprayer needs several priming presses until the dip tube fills with liquid and begins to dispense. One press releases approximately 0.13 ml.

Good to know

Before first filling, the bottle is washed, rinsed and disinfected with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, then left to dry completely with the neck facing down. The sprayer is rinsed with clean water and pressed several times so that the water passes through the entire mechanism. The same procedure applies for repeated use. When changing the contents, thorough cleaning of the dip tube and the nozzle is essential, otherwise residues of the previous product will get into the new one.

The sprayer is made of polypropylene. For contents with a higher proportion of essential oils or with solvents, we recommend checking how the mechanism behaves with your specific formulation before you fill the whole batch.

Glass can break if dropped on a hard surface, so when travelling we recommend carrying the bottle in a case or a separate bag.

Both the bottle and the sprayer can be used repeatedly. At the end of their life, glass goes into glass recycling and the plastic sprayer is disposed of separately as plastic.
