Green Glass Bottle, Glossy Gold Black Pump With Clear Overcap, 50 ml

The set of a 50 ml green glass bottle with a glossy black and gold pump and a clear overcap is intended for liquid and semi-liquid cosmetic products that are dispensed in small amounts. Green glass limits the amount of light reaching the contents, which helps to preserve light-sensitive ingredients such as oils or serums with active ingredients. The pump dispenses approximately 0.3 ml per press, so it is particularly suitable for serums, facial oils, fluids and light emulsions, where the user needs a precise dose without fingers touching the contents.

The bottle and the pump are declared as suitable for contact with cosmetic products, and the declaration of conformity is available with the product. This set is not intended for contact with food.

What it is suitable for

• Facial serums and fluids – water-based and hydroglycerine serums with lower viscosity pass through the pump easily, and the small dose corresponds to the usual amount for a single application.
• Facial and body oils – green glass protects oils from light, and the pump limits the access of air to the contents compared with a bottle that you unscrew each time you use it.
• Light emulsions and milks – thinner O/W creams that still flow are easy to dispense. Thick creams and butters are not suitable for this pump.
• Hair and beard oils – when applied to the palm, a 0.3 ml dose corresponds to a few drops without spilling.
• Tinctures and alcohol-based toners for topical use – glass is resistant to alcohol, but we recommend checking how the pump behaves with your specific formulation.

Use and filling

The bottle has a nominal volume of 50 ml; the brimful capacity can be found in the parameters. The nominal volume is the amount the packaging is designed for under normal filling. The brimful capacity is the physical volume up to the neck. The difference provides room for the pump dip tube and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. Fill the bottle to the nominal volume, not to the brim, otherwise the contents will overflow when you screw on the pump.

After filling, screw on the pump and press it several times until the dip tube and the piston fill with the contents. With thicker emulsions, the first dose appears later than with water-based serums. The clear overcap protects the pump opening from dust during storage and transport.

Good to know

Before first use, wash the glass in warm water with washing-up liquid, rinse it and disinfect it with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. Let it dry completely upside down. Residual water would dilute oil-based products and increases the microbial risk in water-based formulations. Rinse the pump with clean water, pump ethanol through it and leave it to air-dry.

Glass withstands normal temperature changes, but not sudden sharp differences. Let a hot emulsion cool to approximately room temperature before filling, so that the bottle does not crack and the contents do not expand under the pump. The pump is made of polypropylene and aluminium. For formulations with a high proportion of undiluted essential oils or solvents, we recommend checking how the seal and the piston behave with your specific contents, ideally on a single unit before filling a larger batch.
