Salicylic acid (also known as 2-hydroxybenzoic acid) in the form of a white powder is a very important active ingredient in the care of acne-prone and inflammation-prone skin, psoriasis and blackheads, or calluses.
It has antifungal, exfoliating, anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects. It also helps to relieve itchy skin. Its name comes from the Latin name for the willow tree, Salix, from whose bark the acid can be prepared.
It is slightly soluble in water, soluble in alcohol.

Use of salicylic acid can be found in the formation of Roll-on acne, it will help with the reduction of redness and has anti-inflammatory effects.
