Titanium dioxide is a naturally occurring mineral that is extracted from titanium oxide.
It is soluble in water. It is used as an additive in mineral make-ups because it has good adhesion, high hiding power and excellent sun protection. It is mattifying.
Together with zinc oxide, it forms the active ingredients of cosmetic products intended for problematic skin. Many dermatologists recommend them for their healing properties.
If you wish to use the oxide as part of wax/oil based cosmetics such as lipsticks, it is preferable to use oil soluble oxide.
Titanium dioxide is supplied in pharmaceutical grade.
All raw materials supplied are cosmetic grade, not suitable for internal use. Please use appropriate protective equipment when handling.
