Amber Glass Bottle, Slim, White Spray, 50 ml

This amber glass medicine bottle with a nominal volume of 50 ml and a white plastic fine mist sprayer is intended for filling liquid cosmetic products that are applied by spraying. Amber glass reduces light transmission, so it also suits contents sensitive to UV radiation, for example toners with active ingredients, hydrosols or alcohol-based perfume waters.

The sprayer has already been matched to the neck of the medicine bottle, so the set does not need another closure. It is suitable for water-based and alcohol-based liquids with low viscosity. A mechanical sprayer will not spray thick oils and gel textures evenly; a medicine bottle with a dropper is more suitable for them.

Good to know

Both the medicine bottle and the sprayer are declared suitable for contact with cosmetic products. Only the glass medicine bottle on its own has a certificate for direct contact with food; the sprayer does not, so the set as a whole is intended for cosmetics.

The nominal volume is the volume the medicine bottle is intended for in normal filling. The brimful volume given in the parameters is the physical volume up to the neck. The difference leaves room for the sprayer tube and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. Fill to the nominal volume, not to the brim, otherwise part of the contents will be pushed out when the sprayer is screwed on.

The sprayer tube reaches all the way to the bottom of the medicine bottle. If it rests on the bottom and bends when you screw the sprayer on, shorten it with a sharp knife using a diagonal cut. The end of the tube will then not stick to the bottom, and the sprayer will draw up the contents to the very end.

For alcohol-based contents, perfume compositions and solutions with a higher proportion of essential oils, we recommend checking how the polypropylene sprayer behaves in your specific formulation. Watch in particular for tightness, evenness of spraying and any change in the appearance of the plastic after longer contact with the contents.

The medicine bottle can be reused after washing. After the sprayer is emptied, rinse it so that remnants of the contents do not dry in the tube and nozzle. For disposal, take the set apart: the glass medicine bottle belongs with glass, the sprayer with plastics.
