Product description

A clear glass bottle with a capacity of 30 ml and a fitted pump is intended for filling with serums, facial oils and liquid emulsions that are applied in small doses. Clear glass lets the contents show, so it suits above all transparent serums and formulations with an attractive colour, where the appearance of the contents is part of the impression the product makes. The pump with a black and gold glossy body and a clear overcap completes the bottle as a ready-made retail pack that does not need to be assembled from several parts.

The set is declared suitable for contact with cosmetic products. Both the bottle and the pump meet the requirements for cosmetic packaging, and declarations of conformity are provided with the product.

How the set works

The bottle has a narrow neck with an 18 mm thread, onto which the pump screws directly. The dip tube of the pump reaches the bottom so that as much of the contents as possible can be used up. One press dispenses approximately 0.3 ml, the contents do not touch the fingers, and the bottle is not opened during use.

The clear overcap protects the pump outlet from dust and accidental pressing. Before the product is sold or handed over, the pump is pressed several times without product so that the dip tube fills and the first dose comes out straight away.

The pump handles liquid and thin consistencies. For a thicker serum, a gel or a creamier emulsion, we recommend checking in advance that the contents are drawn up evenly through the dip tube and that the dose does not vary.

What it is suitable for

  • Facial serums – water-based and water-glycerine serums with low viscosity, applied in a few drops.
  • Facial and body oils – pure oils and their blends; the pump replaces the dropper here and makes application easier.
  • Liquid emulsions and fluids – light creams with a liquid consistency, which the dip tube draws up without problems.
  • Hair serums and oils for the ends – a small amount per use, with no risk of spilling.

The 30 ml size is also often chosen for samples and smaller product batches.

Good to know

The nominal volume of 30 ml is the volume the bottle is intended for in normal filling. The brim-full capacity given in the parameters is larger, because it includes the space up to the neck. This difference is a reserve for the dip tube of the pump and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. For this reason, fill to the nominal volume, not to the brim; otherwise the contents will be pushed out through the neck when the pump is screwed on.

Clear glass does not protect the contents from light. Formulations with sensitive active ingredients, unsaturated oils or essential oils, which lose effectiveness faster in light, keep better in amber or blue glass, or in a cardboard box.

Before the first filling, the bottle is washed, disinfected with ethanol or isopropyl alcohol and left to dry completely. The pump is not taken apart; it is enough to rinse it with clean water and let it drain. The glass withstands hot water, but the contents should only be poured in once they have cooled to room temperature, so that the bottle does not crack from a hot emulsion.

The pump contains plastic parts and aluminium. For contents with a high proportion of essential oils or solvents, check that the appearance of the pump does not change and that dispensing does not deteriorate.

After thorough cleaning, the bottle can be reused. The glass goes into glass recycling; the pump is made of plastic and aluminium and is sorted separately according to the rules at your collection point.

Frequently asked questions

Does a clear glass bottle protect the contents from light?
No, clear glass lets light through and does not protect the contents from it. It suits stable formulations where the colour and clarity of the contents should be visible. Serums with vitamin C or retinol, and oils prone to oxidation, keep longer in amber or blue glass or in a box that shades the bottle.
How much product does the pump dispense with one press?
One full press of the pump dispenses approximately 0.3 ml of the contents. The actual amount depends on the viscosity of the contents and on whether the dip tube is completely filled, so the pump is pressed several times without product before first use. With a serum or facial oil, the dose is easily adjusted by the number of presses.
Is the pump suitable for a thick cream?
A thick cream is not drawn up reliably through a pump with a dip tube. The set is intended for liquid and thin consistencies, that is serums, oils and fluids, which the dip tube draws up without interruption. For thicker emulsions, we recommend testing the dispensing on a single bottle before the whole batch is filled.
How much should be poured into the bottle?
The bottle is filled with 30 ml, which is its nominal volume. The remaining space up to the neck is left free as a reserve for the dip tube of the pump and for the expansion of the contents during warmer storage. If it is filled to the brim, part of the contents is pushed out through the neck when the pump is screwed on and soils the thread.
Can the bottle with pump be washed and used again?
Yes, once empty, the glass bottle is washed, disinfected with ethanol or isopropyl alcohol and, after drying, can be filled again. It is enough to rinse the pump with clean water by pumping it through and let it drain. With oil-based contents, the dip tube is rinsed with warm water and washing-up liquid so that no film remains in it.
Is the set also suitable for water-based serums?
Yes, the pump works with both water-based and oil-based contents of low viscosity. Glass does not react with water, alcohol or oils, so the bottle withstands water-based serums, toners with glycerine and pure vegetable oils. For contents with a higher proportion of essential oils, check whether the plastic parts of the pump change in appearance.
