Clear glass bottle with pump, 15 ml

A small clear bottle with a pump for liquid and semi-liquid products that you want to dispense without touching them with your fingers. The clear glass shows the colour and the level of the contents, while the glossy black and gold pump with a clear overcap gives a small pack the look of a finished retail product. The 15 ml volume is enough for an eye or face serum, a light emulsion, a facial oil or a sample of a larger product that you hand to a customer.

The set consists of a glass bottle and a pump with a dip tube. Both parts are declared as suitable for contact with cosmetic products, and the declaration of conformity is available with the product.

What it is suitable for

• Serums and concentrates – water-based and oil-based serums with lower viscosity pass through the pump without difficulty.
• Eye and face emulsions – light creams and lotions that are pourable at room temperature. The pump cannot draw up thicker creams and balms, so stick with a jar for those.
• Facial and hair oils – one press delivers a measured dose, and the oil does not run down the neck as it does when poured.
• Samples and travel packs – the small volume and closed cap suit a cosmetic bag or serve as a tester alongside a larger product.

Use and filling

Before first use, wash the bottle, rinse it with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and leave it to dry completely. Rinse the pump in the same way and pump it empty several times so that any remaining cleaning liquid runs out of the tube. Do not fill the glass with hot contents and do not move it from the cold straight into warm water, as a sudden change in temperature may crack it.

Fill it to the nominal volume of 15 ml, not to the brim. The brimful capacity given in the parameters is the physical volume of the bottle up to the neck. The difference between the two values is a reserve for the dip tube and the pump body, which take up part of the space when screwed in.

The pump delivers approximately 0.3 ml per press. Take this into account when formulating, for example with serums containing a higher dose of an active ingredient, where the recommended amount per application corresponds to one or two presses.

Good to know

Clear glass does not protect the contents from light. Store products containing light-sensitive ingredients, such as vitamin C, retinol or unrefined oils prone to oxidation, in a box or in the dark, or choose amber or blue glass for them.

The pump is made of polypropylene with an aluminium element. For products with a higher proportion of alcohol, concentrated essential oils or solvents, check before larger-scale production how it seals and dispenses with your specific formulation over the long term. Also test whether it copes with the viscosity of your emulsion, as the limit varies with the recipe.

After thorough washing and disinfection, the bottle can be reused. The pump is harder to clean, as the tube and valve retain residue of the previous contents, so it is better to replace it when you change the product. For recycling, glass goes with glass, while the plastic and aluminium pump is disposed of separately from the bottle.
