Precisely dosed serum without finger contact – that is the purpose of this set: a clear glass bottle 30 ml with a white-and-silver glossy pump dispenser. The dispenser releases the contents in small, repeatable amounts, making it ideal for facial serums, fluid creams, light emulsions, liquid makeup bases, or oil serums. The transparent glass reveals the colour and consistency of the product, which is an advantage for clear or lightly tinted formulations.

The set is declared as suitable for contact with cosmetic products. It is not intended for food use.

Practical use

The set is suitable for liquid to medium-viscosity products that can be drawn up through the dip tube and pushed through the pump: water-based and oil-based serums, fluid O/W emulsions, light hand creams, liquid makeup bases, hair and beard oil serums, eye serums, or concentrated treatment fluids. The 30 ml volume corresponds to a standard retail packaging size for a facial serum or a travel-size treatment cream.

Thick creams, butters, high-viscosity gels, or products with particles (scrubs, grainy masks) are difficult or impossible to dispense through the pump. For thicker emulsions, we recommend a test fill and checking that the pump draws the product smoothly even after several days of standing.

Nominal and total volume

Nominal volume is the amount of product for which the packaging is intended under normal filling conditions. Total volume to the brim is the physical volume of the bottle up to the neck and is slightly larger. The difference between them is a reserve for the dip tube and the pump body, which occupy part of the neck space once inserted, and for expansion of the contents with temperature changes. The bottle should therefore be filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim; otherwise the product will overflow when the pump is screwed in. Both values are listed in the product parameters.

What is good to know

• Preparation before first fill – rinse the bottle with warm water, disinfect with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, and allow to dry completely with the neck facing down. Rinse the pump with ethanol, pump several times, and allow to dry. No water must remain inside.
• First presses – a new pump requires several presses before it draws the product up through the dip tube and begins dispensing. This is normal behaviour, not a defect.
• Pump compatibility – the plastic parts are made of polypropylene, which tolerates water-based and emulsion formulations as well as standard oils. For products with a high alcohol content, pure essential oils, or solvents, we recommend checking the behaviour of the pump and seals over time.
• Retained volume – a small amount of product remains in the dip tube and pump body and cannot be dispensed. Account for this when calculating the declared fill quantity.
• Reuse – the glass bottle can be washed and used again. The pump is difficult to clean thoroughly on the inside, so when changing the product, we recommend using a new pump.
• Recycling – the glass bottle goes into the glass recycling stream. The pump combines plastic and aluminium, so separate it from the bottle before disposal.
