Clear Plastic Bottle, Black Cap, 10 ml

This clear PET medicine bottle with a capacity of 10 ml and a black screw cap is designed for packaging small quantities of cosmetics: samples of serums, face and body oils, perfume oils or test batches from your own production. The clear plastic shows the colour and purity of the contents. The material is lightweight and does not shatter like glass when dropped, which you will appreciate when sending samples and in travel packaging. The set as a whole is declared suitable for contact with cosmetics. Only the bottle has a separate certificate for direct food contact; the cap does not, so the set is intended for cosmetic products.

What the set is suitable for

• Samples and testers – a volume of 10 ml corresponds to the amount a customer uses when trying out a serum, oil or perfume oil, without unnecessary leftovers.
• Small production batches – when tuning a formulation, it is enough to fill a few small bottles and compare the variants. You can see the contents through the wall of the packaging.
• Travel packaging – lightweight PET suits a bag or parcel better than glass of the same volume.
• Liquid and oil contents – the narrow neck of the medicine bottle lets you dispense the contents dropwise or pour them directly from the bottle, without an additional pump.

How the packaging works

The bottle has the shape of a medicine bottle, that is, a cylindrical body with a narrow neck and an 18/410 neck finish. The black PP cap has an EPE liner inside, which sits on the neck and seals the bottle when tightened normally. The contents are dispensed by tilting the bottle. Oils and thinner liquids come out dropwise, while thicker creams pass through the narrow neck less easily.

When filling, allow for the difference between nominal and brimful volume. The nominal volume is the amount the packaging is designed for under normal filling. The brimful volume is the physical volume up to the top of the neck and is slightly larger. The difference provides a reserve for the cap and for the expansion of the contents with temperature changes, so the bottle is filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim.

Good to know

Clear plastic does not protect the contents from light. Store light-sensitive ingredients, such as oils prone to oxidation or serums with vitamin C, in a clear bottle in a dark place, or choose packaging made of amber or blue glass for them. For short-term samples and testers, this is usually not a problem.

PET is not designed for high temperatures. Pour the product in only after it has cooled down, and use alcohol for disinfection, not hot or boiling water. After thorough washing and drying, the bottle can be reused; replace the cap according to the condition of the liner.
