Preservatives are substances that help extend the life of your beauty products.

They fight bacteria, yeasts, fungi and moulds in cosmetics by stopping them from multiplying for a certain period of time. They are needed wherever you add water to your products. However, these properties predispose them to be poisonous or toxic in their pure state, their dosage in cosmetic products is minimal.

Grapefruit seed extract is a pure, natural preservative that can be used to extend the life of oils and butters. It contains naringin, which, along with rutin, is classified as a flavonoid. It is added to the aqueous phase of products.

In addition to its antioxidant effects, it is also suitable for oily, acne-prone skin. It is also very often used in hair products for its purifying effects. It is compatible with all non-ionic cleansers. It has a mild citrus fragrance.

To ensure long-term protection for your beauty products, we recommend combining it with other preservatives.

We do not recommend using undiluted, it can cause skin irritation. Avoid contact with eyes.
