Vitamin C is a white crystalline substance and also a powerful antioxidant.
It dissolves in water. It softens blemishes on the skin and brightens it. Promotes collagen production. Acts as an antioxidant (helps to scavenge free radicals).
It is used in cosmetic products in a mixture with vitamin E, as pure vitamin C is very unstable.
