Product description
The glass bottle with a white and gold fine mist sprayer is a ready-to-use set for filling face toners, hydrosols and perfumed sprays in a volume of 15 ml. The opaque black glossy glass protects the contents from light, so light-sensitive compositions keep their fragrance for longer. The sprayer disperses the liquid into a fine mist, and the contents are applied directly to the skin, hair or textiles without touching the contents with your hands.
The small volume makes this medicine bottle a suitable pack for samples, travel versions and the first test batches of a new recipe. The set is declared as suitable for contact with cosmetics. The glass bottle itself also has a certificate for direct contact with food, but the sprayer does not, so the set as a whole is intended for cosmetic products.
What it is suitable for
- Face toners and hydrosols – thin water-based contents pass through the sprayer without problems and spread evenly on the skin.
- Perfume waters and body sprays – alcohol-based compositions are protected from light in the opaque glass, and 15 ml corresponds to a common sample or travel size.
- Hair and refreshing sprays – light water-based or water-and-alcohol mixtures with low viscosity.
- Customer samples – black glass with a white and gold sprayer is a finished retail pack that needs no further modification.
Good to know
The nominal volume is the amount the packaging is designed for in normal filling. The brimful volume stated in the parameters is the physical volume up to the neck. The difference is a reserve for the sprayer tube and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. Therefore, fill up to the nominal volume, not to the brim. With black glass the level cannot be seen, so fill with a measured amount.
The sprayer tube is longer than the height of the bottle. Shorten it with a diagonal cut so that it touches the bottom without bending. A straight cut resting flat on the bottom may interrupt the suction, and the last millilitres of the contents will remain unused.
One dose of the sprayer is approximately 0.14 ml, so the full volume gives roughly one hundred sprays. When using it for the first time, prime the sprayer by pressing it several times until the tube fills and the dispensing becomes consistent.
The sprayer is designed for liquids with a viscosity close to water. Oils, gel-textured serums or emulsions clog the nozzle or come out in a stream instead of a mist. For contents with a higher proportion of essential oils or solvents, check over several weeks how the plastic and aluminium parts of the sprayer behave with your specific formulation.
Before the first filling, wash the bottle, rinse it with ethanol or isopropyl alcohol and leave it to dry completely. Rinse the sprayer by spraying clean water and then ethanol through it. Moisture in the tube could dilute or contaminate the finished product.
Closures with the same neck type and other ready-made combinations can be found in the Handymade range. If you make your own combination, check the tightness, the dispensing and the behaviour of the packaging with your formulation. For recycling, glass belongs with glass, and the plastic and aluminium sprayer is separated from the bottle.
