Product description

Essences obtained by CO2 extraction are some of the purest essences with a higher proportion of individual chemical components than those found in essential oils obtained by steam distillation, as they do not contain residual solvents, inorganic salts, heavy metals or bacteria capable of reproduction. Their use is the same as for essential oils, but in a much smaller proportion, as CO2 extract is stronger, of higher quality and has a significantly longer shelf life. In fact, the plant extracts do not undergo thermal degradation in this extraction process, as is the case in the steam distillation process.

Depending on the pressure, CO2 extraction makes it possible to create two types of extracts, the so-called Selects and Totals.

Our CO2 extracts are total extracts from the plant (obtained by high pressure extraction), thus containing all CO2 soluble components, including waxes, resins, dyes. They are therefore very similar to the plant itself, usually thick and pasty just because of the waxes, fats and resins contained, which come from the plant material itself.

Composition:
CO2 rosehip seed extract (organic) 0.1% antioxidant rosemary extract (organic).

Fatty oil high in unsaturated fatty acids including 41-59% linoleic acid (C18:2, omega-6), 20-35% alpha-linolenic acid (C18:3, omega-3), 12-22% oleic acid (C18:1, omega-9), small amounts of stearic and palmitic acids, tocopherol and 0.01-0.02% carotenoids.

Uses:

CO2-to rosehip extract is a mixture of active ingredients and essential oils obtained from rosehip during supercritical carbon dioxide extraction. As a result, rosehipCO2 extract is free of solvent residues and contains heat-labile substances that would otherwise be destroyed during steam distillation. RosehipCO2 extract is more stable than rosehip oil and a little darker - it can colour your products. In addition, this extract is rich in unsaturated fatty acids, carotenoids as well as tocopherols with antioxidant properties.

CO2 rosehip extract can thus be used as an active ingredient in cosmetics ranging from oil-based skin serums and creams to hair masks and shampoos. They are soluble in oils, add them in the cooling phase.

Due to the high concentration of plant constituents in theCO2 extract, the recommended dosage is 0.2-0.5%.

All supplied raw materials are of cosmetic quality, not suitable for internal use.
