FAQ – Most frequently asked questions

Is this bottle suitable for more viscous oils or only for thin liquids?

The bottle is a universal packaging that can handle thin and also slightly more viscous liquids, for example common vegetable oils or an oil-based serum. For very viscous or gel formulations, we recommend choosing a suitable type of closure or dosing element (for example a dropper or applicator) and always performing a trial filling to verify smooth dosing and reliable sealing.

Can I reuse this bottle for different products?

The packaging can be reused if hygiene principles are observed, but we recommend designating it for one group of products (for example only oil-based or only aqueous formulations) in order to minimize the risk of cross-contamination. Before each new filling, the bottle and the closure must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, ideally using a suitable alcohol such as isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For disinfection you can use the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based, and only then refill the packaging.

How should I properly clean and maintain the bottle between individual fillings?

After the contents have been used up, we recommend rinsing the bottle immediately with warm water and a mild cleaning agent so that product residues do not settle on the walls. Then rinse it thoroughly with clean water, let it dry completely and, before the next filling, disinfect the packaging with alcohol (for example IPA or ethanol suitable for technical disinfection). It is advisable to clean and disinfect the closure separately, and during drying prevent the inner surface from coming into contact with contaminated surfaces.

How can I safely dispose of and recycle this packaging if I no longer want to use it?

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend first emptying it and removing any product residues. The subsequent method of recycling depends on the material of the bottle body and the closure, which you will find listed in the parameter table for the product. According to the recycling symbol given there, place the plastic part in the appropriate sorted waste stream for plastics and the metal cap in the container intended for metal packaging, or follow local waste-sorting rules. Before disposal, do not boil the packaging and do not expose it to extreme temperatures, so that deformation or release of material does not occur.
