The bottle with spray pump is suitable for many water-based and alcohol-based solutions, but we always recommend performing your own compatibility test with the specific formula. Pay particular attention to the behaviour of the plastic in long-term contact with alcohol (colour change, softening, cracking) and to the functionality of the spray pump. With a higher proportion of alcohol, it is advisable to fill a smaller test quantity and leave it in the container for several days to verify stability and sealing.

The container can be reused if hygiene principles are observed, but we recommend keeping it long-term for the same type of product (for example always a cosmetic body spray, and not alternately a cosmetic and a cleaning preparation). Before each refilling, the bottle and spray pump must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected with an appropriate product, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For this purpose you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured – plant-based. Disinfection helps to minimize the risk of microbial contamination and protects the quality of your formulations.

Before filling, check that all parts of the packaging are clean and dry. First prepare a filtered or preserved solution without undissolved particles that could clog the nozzle. Fill the bottle gradually, ideally using a funnel or dosing pump, and leave a small air gap below the rim of the neck so that the spray pump can draw correctly. After screwing on the spray pump, press it several times until the system fills and a uniform spray pattern is produced. If the solution is too viscous, it may be necessary to adjust the viscosity or choose a different type of dosing.

Store the bottle in a dry, clean place, protected from direct sunlight and sources of heat. Avoid exposure to extreme temperatures, sudden mechanical stress and long-term action of aggressive chemicals on the surface of the packaging. During transport, we recommend placing the container in a rigid box or organiser to prevent accidental pressing of the spray pump. Proper storage helps to preserve the appearance of the packaging, the dosing functionality and the stability of the filled product.

If you decide not to use the container any longer, we recommend first emptying it and, if possible, rinsing out any product residues. Then proceed according to the recycling label of the material, which you can find in the parameter table for the product on Handymade.sk. According to the type of plastic or the combination of materials, sort the packaging into the appropriate separated waste stream, or separate the bottle and spray pump if they are made of different materials. Complying with local waste-sorting rules supports effective recycling and reduces environmental impact. If possible, give preference to reusing the container over disposing of it after a single use.
