Phenolphthalein is an organic aromatic compound that is used as a pH indicator.
With the help of phenolphthalein indicator papers you can find out the pH of your cosmetic products.
These are white papers that change colour gradually to red as they exceed the lower pH limit of 8.3 (completely red at pH greater than 10).
