White Glass Bottle, Glossy Gold White Spray, 10 ml

A glass bottle with a capacity of 10 ml and a fitted fine mist sprayer is a ready-made set for small quantities of fragrance and water-based cosmetic preparations. The opaque white glass shields the contents from light, which is useful for perfumes and for hair or face sprays with essential oils. The white and gold glossy sprayer complements the bottle in colour, so the pack looks like a finished product that can be sold or given as a gift straight away.

The set is declared suitable for contact with cosmetic products; you will find the declaration of conformity with the product. The bottle has a medicine bottle shape with a narrow neck. The sprayer screws onto it and releases approximately 0.14 ml of the contents with one press. The small volume makes the pack a suitable format for samples, travel versions or first trials of a new formulation.

Suitable uses

• Perfumes and fragrance waters – alcohol-based compositions are dispensed evenly by the sprayer, and 10 ml corresponds to a travel or sample size.
• Face and hair sprays – toners, hydrosols with a preservative or refreshing face sprays. Thin water-based preparations pass through the nozzle smoothly.
• Customer samples – a small amount of the finished product to try before buying a larger pack.
• Test batches – when fine-tuning a formulation, it is enough to mix a few millilitres and check straight away how the preparation sprays and how it smells after application.

Volume and filling

The nominal volume of 10 ml is the volume the bottle is designed for in normal filling. The brimful volume, that is the physical volume up to the neck, is slightly larger and you will find it in the parameters. The difference serves as a reserve for the sprayer tube, which pushes part of the contents upwards once it is fitted. Therefore, fill up to the nominal volume, not to the brim. An overfilled bottle may overflow through the neck when the sprayer is screwed on.

Preparation and reuse

Before the first filling, wash the bottle, disinfect it with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and let it dry completely. The sprayer is cleaned by spraying clean water through it and then ethanol, so that residues of the previous contents are flushed out of the nozzle and the tube. The glass withstands repeated washing and disinfection without any change. Check the sprayer before each further filling to make sure it still seals and dispenses the same as a new one.

For disposal, take the set apart. The bottle belongs with glass, while the sprayer made of polypropylene and aluminium is sorted separately.

Good to know

• Thin liquids – the sprayer works with water-based and alcohol-based preparations. Oils and thicker serums come out of the nozzle as a jet instead of a mist and gradually clog it. For oil-based preparations, choose a different type of closure.
• Alcohol and essential oils – before filling a larger batch of perfume or a preparation with a higher share of essential oils, we recommend a test. Fill one bottle and after several weeks check the seal, the colour of the plastic and the dispensing strength.
• Preservation – water-based sprays need a preservative. The sprayer protects the contents from contact with fingers, not from microbes that get into the water phase during production.
