Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example with isopropyl alcohol or denatured plant ethanol. By following this procedure, you reduce the risk of microbial contamination and extend the stability of the final product.

Before first filling, we recommend mechanically rinsing the bottle, removing any manufacturing dust and then disinfecting it with alcohol (ALK001 or ALK002 according to the Handymade offer). After applying the alcohol, allow the inside of the packaging to evaporate and dry at room temperature so that the packaging is clean and ready for contact with cosmetic or other formulations.

Glass medicine bottles are generally very suitable for concentrated essential oils, aromatherapeutic blends and alcohol tinctures, because glass is a chemically stable and inert material. When working with high concentrations of oils, however, we always recommend testing the compatibility of the specific blend with the closure, dropper or atomizer used, in order to ensure reliable sealing and dosing.

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the material specified in the product parameters. After emptying and basic cleaning, the glass bottle should be placed in the collection container designated for glass. Caps and any plastic or metal parts should be sorted separately according to local waste collection rules. In this way, you support the circulation of materials and reduce the amount of municipal waste.
