Plastic cap with dropper 28/415 is intended for precise dosing of liquid products such as oils, serums, essential oils or concentrated solutions. The integrated dropper enables convenient and repeatedly precise drop-by-drop dosing, which is ideal for product formulations where control over the amount of product used is important. The closure is designed to seal reliably and protect the contents of the bottle from leaking during storage as well as during normal handling.

Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).

Is the plastic cap with dropper suitable for thicker oils and serums?

The dropper is ideal for liquid and medium-viscosity preparations such as common cosmetic oils, facial serums and liquid extracts. With very thick oils or gels the flow may be slower, so we recommend first doing a trial filling on a small sample to verify the dripping speed and dosing comfort with your specific formulation.

Can this closure with dropper be reused when refilling bottles?

The closure with dropper can be reused as long as it is not visibly damaged and seals without leakage. When reusing, it is necessary to observe hygiene principles – before each new filling of the bottle, the cap and the dropper must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, for example using suitable disinfectants such as isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For this purpose you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Only afterwards do we recommend putting the closure back on and using it for new contents.

How should the dropper in the cap be properly cleaned and disinfected before further use?

The dropper should first be mechanically rinsed with a suitable solvent or medium that is compatible with the original contents (for example a vegetable oil for oil-based products) to remove residues. It is then necessary to disinfect the closure with dropper – we recommend using alcohol-based disinfectant products, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After treatment, allow the components to air thoroughly and dry completely so that no undesirable dilution or influence on the new filling occurs.

How to safely dispose of or recycle the plastic cap with dropper if I do not want to continue using it?

If you decide not to continue using the closure with dropper, we recommend recycling it according to the material information given in the product parameters on the Handymade website. The material composition and corresponding recycling mark determine into which collection container the packaging belongs. Before placing it in sorted waste, it is advisable to remove product residues from the closure and, according to local sorting rules, assign it to the appropriate plastics fraction. In this way you minimise waste and support the reuse of the material.
