This glass bottle – medicine bottle with white spray pump is already supplied as a functional combination of the container and dispensing element, suitable for immediate filling and use without the need to purchase additional components. Combinations of containers and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).

Yes, the glass bottle with spray pump is also suitable for smaller home production and manual filling. When working, we recommend using a funnel or a suitable measuring beaker, filling slowly and not overfilling the container so that the spray pump can be screwed on correctly and the sealing works reliably. It is also recommended to test the first pieces for dosing and product consistency before filling the entire batch.
The packaging can be reused provided that hygiene rules are followed and suitable cleaning is carried out between individual fillings. Before each new use, the bottle and the spray pump must be thoroughly cleaned, rinsed and then disinfected, for example using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For disinfection you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Only after the alcohol has completely dried and evaporated is the packaging ready for the next filling.
First remove the remnants of the original product by rinsing with warm water and a mild detergent suitable for laboratory or kitchen glass. You can then rinse the glass part several times with clean water and let it dry thoroughly. Before the next use, the packaging needs to be disinfected – for example by rinsing or spraying the inner and outer parts with alcohol-based preparations such as IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. We recommend activating the spray pump several times with the cleaning solution and then with clean water to remove residues of the previous filling.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, it is recommended to recycle it according to the recommendations stated in the product parameters. The glass medicine bottle can generally be handed in to glass collection after removing product residues and labels, while the plastic parts of the spray pump are usually intended for sorted plastic collection or for a collection yard according to local rules. Before handing it in for collection, empty and rinse the packaging as much as possible to minimise residues of cosmetics or cleaning agents.
When selecting the formula, take into account in particular the viscosity and composition of the product. The spray pump is intended primarily for low-viscosity, water-based liquids or light solutions. Thick emulsions, gels or blends containing solid particles can clog the mechanism and reduce the quality of spraying. We always recommend preparing a small test quantity, filling one bottle and checking the dosing functionality, product stability and behaviour of the packaging during normal use and storage.
