Clear Plastic Bottle, Gold White Spray, 50 ml

A clear plastic medicine bottle with a volume of 50 ml and a white and gold fine mist sprayer makes a ready-to-use set for thin liquids that are applied by spraying. It is suitable for facial toners, hydrosols, hair and refreshing sprays, or for a small amount of a product to carry in a handbag or take on trips. PET is lightweight, and through the clear wall you can see the contents and how much remains. The sprayer is supplied together with the bottle, so there is no need to choose a closure separately.

What the set is suitable for

• Facial toners and hydrosols – watery liquids are sprayed evenly and in small doses, so they can be applied directly to the face without a cotton pad.
• Hair sprays – refreshing and hydrating water-based hair mists.
• Air fresheners and fabric sprays – thin fragranced mixtures, where the clear wall lets you see the clarity of the contents and any cloudiness.
• Travel packs and samples – 50 ml is a volume that fits into hand luggage and a cosmetic bag.

How the set works

The sprayer has a mechanism made of plastic and aluminium and a dip tube that reaches almost to the bottom of the bottle. The contents can therefore be used up almost completely. One press releases a small dose, which suits products that are applied repeatedly and in layers. Thick gels, oils and emulsions are difficult to push through a mechanical sprayer, and they can clog the mechanism. Such formulations belong in a bottle with a different type of closure.

When filling, follow the nominal volume. The nominal volume is the amount the packaging is designed for under normal filling. The total brimful volume is the physical volume up to the neck and is always slightly larger. The difference provides a reserve for the dip tube and the sprayer mechanism and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. The bottle is filled up to the nominal volume and the space at the neck is left empty.

Contact with cosmetics and food

The set as a whole is declared suitable for contact with cosmetic products, and the declaration of conformity is provided with the product. Only the bottle has a separate certificate for direct food contact. The sprayer does not have one, so the set is not intended for food use and is used for cosmetics.

Good to know

• Light – clear PET does not protect the contents from light. Store light-sensitive products away from direct sunlight, or choose amber or blue packaging for them.
• Compatibility with the contents – PET is designed for aqueous solutions and common cosmetic products. Aggressive chemicals and solvents can damage the plastic, so avoid them.
• Heat – fill the plastic bottle with a product that has cooled down. A hot liquid can deform the wall.
• Reuse – the bottle and the sprayer can be used again if they are rinsed thoroughly. After washing, spray water through the sprayer and let it dry, otherwise the original contents will remain in it.
• Other closures – closures with the same neck type, given in the parameters, and other ready-made combinations can be found in the Handymade range. If you make your own combination, we recommend checking the tightness and dispensing with your specific formulation.
• Recycling – the bottle is made of PET and belongs with plastics. The sprayer combines plastic with aluminium, so separate it from the bottle before disposal.
