Clear PET bottle 50 ml in a vial shape with a white spray pump is a ready-to-use set for liquid products applied by spraying: tonics, hydrolate mists, refreshing face or hair sprays, light water-based or alcohol-based preparations and disinfectant solutions. The bottle is lightweight and shatterproof, making it suitable for handbags, travel, the bathroom and for samples. The clear material shows the contents and their colour, so it is suitable wherever you want the product to be visible at a glance.

The set as a whole is declared as suitable for contact with cosmetic products. The food-contact approval applies only to the bottle on its own; the set with the spray pump is therefore intended for cosmetics.

What the set is suitable for and what does not belong in it

The spray pump works reliably with thin liquids: aqueous solutions, hydrolates, tonics, facial and hair mists, solutions with a low proportion of glycerin, alcohol sprays and fragrance waters at lower concentrations. The thinner the contents, the finer the mist and the lower the risk of the nozzle clogging.

It is not suitable for oils, thick serums, emulsions or gels. The spray pump cannot disperse oily or viscous products; the contents drip or the mechanism jams. For such products we recommend a bottle with a dropper or a pump dispenser.

Clear PET does not protect the contents from light. If the formula is sensitive to UV radiation (for example, it contains vitamin C, unstable botanical extracts or certain essential oils), store the bottle away from direct sunlight or opt for a dark-coloured container.

Filling and volume

Nominal volume is the amount for which the bottle is intended under normal filling. The total capacity to the brim is greater, as it includes the space up to the neck. This difference is a reserve for the dip tube and spray mechanism as well as room for slight expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. Fill to the nominal volume, not to the brim. An overfilled bottle may be forced under pressure when the spray pump is screwed on, causing the contents to leak around the thread.

Before first use, we recommend washing and disinfecting both the bottle and the spray pump (isopropyl alcohol or ethanol) and allowing them to dry completely. Before filling, rinse the spray pump with clean water and press it several times without liquid to remove any manufacturing residues. A small funnel helps during filling. The neck is narrow and the contents can easily spill when pouring directly from a larger container.

Good to know

The set can be reused. After emptying, wash the bottle with warm water and a mild detergent, rinse the spray pump with clean water and spray it empty to flush out any product residue from the dip tube and nozzle. When changing the contents (for example from fragrance water to a hydrolate), we recommend disinfecting, otherwise the scent may transfer.

PET does not tolerate high temperatures. Do not fill the bottle with hot contents and do not put it in a dishwasher or steam steriliser; it could deform. Fill products after they have cooled to room temperature.

A label can be applied to the bottle. Transparent labels also look good on clear plastic, allowing the contents to remain visible.

The bottle is made of PET and the spray pump of PP, so we recommend separating them before recycling.
