Can the double-sided scoop be used repeatedly?

Yes, you can safely use the scoop repeatedly if you follow hygiene principles. Before each new filling, it is necessary to clean the scoop thoroughly and then disinfect it with a suitable product, for example with isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 ALK001 or plant-based ethanol 96 % ALK002. This minimises the risk of microbial contamination and maintains the stability of the finished product.

For which types of formulations is this scoop most suitable?

The double-sided scoop is practical for all formulations where you need precise and quick dosing of small amounts of raw materials. It proves useful when producing facial serums, emulsions, eye creams, shampoos, conditioners, body lotions, cleaning products or concentrated solutions. It also allows comfortable dosing when testing trial batches and adjusting existing formulations.

How should the scoop be properly cleaned between individual uses?

After use, we recommend rinsing the scoop immediately with warm water and a suitable cleaning agent to remove residues of oils, waxes or surfactants. Then rinse it thoroughly with clean water and let it dry completely. Before the next filling, disinfect the scoop – for example using isopropyl alcohol ALK001 or plant-based ethanol ALK002 – and again allow it to air out and dry thoroughly.

If you decide not to use the scoop any longer, we recommend first cleaning it of any raw material residues according to the type of substances used and then placing it in sorted waste according to the recommendations given for the product in the parameter table and recycling symbol. In general, clean plastic packaging belongs in the appropriate container for sorted waste according to the instructions of your collection system. This supports proper recycling of the material and reduces the amount of municipal waste.
