Product description

Lavandin super is a hybrid plant created by crossing narrow-leaved lavender and varieties of broad-leaved lavender. Lavandin is grown in France at higher altitudes than the classic lavender.

Lavandin essential oil is extracted from the leaves of lavandin by a process of steam distillation. It has a scent similar to that of narrow-leaved lavender, with a slight camphor undertone, but with a more pronounced aroma, which is why it is most commonly used in aromatherapy and in refreshments and cleaning products. Because of its high camphor content, it can also help with snoring or tinnitus problems.

Lavandin as a blend of two lavender species has a much higher yield - the same amount of the plant can produce up to 10 times more essential oil than ordinary lavender, which makes it favourably priced. However, its scent is more herbaceous and less floral compared to narrow-leaved lavender.

All the raw materials supplied are of cosmetic quality, unsuitable for internal use. Please use appropriate protective equipment when handling.

WHAT ARE ESSENTIAL OILS?

Essential oils, or essential oils, are natural aromatic substances that come from different parts of plants - stems, roots, seeds, flowers, leaves, etc. They give plants their characteristic scent and also have medicinal and protective effects. They have a very positive effect on symptoms on a physical, emotional or mental level.

Their chemical composition is quite complicated. Essential oils are most often obtained from plants by distillation, extraction or pressing. Essential oils are highly concentrated and are applied directly to the skin only after dilution with carrier plant oils (almond, apricot, jojoba, etc.). The only exceptions are tea tree and lavender essential oils, which can be applied directly.

Use essential oils for inhalation or in your beauty products, we do not recommend consuming any essential oils of any brands.

Essential oils are fat soluble, so if you want to use them in products without oils and butters, use a solvent /solubilizer/.

HOW DO I USE ESSENTIAL OIL?

Cosmetic and soap making - the amount of essential oil needed depends on the specific recipe and the quantity being made.
Inhalation, steaming - drip a few drops of essential oil into an aromatherapy bottle, diffuser, or container of hot water.
Bath - mix drops of oil in a base oil /coconut, olive.../, in 1 dcl of milk or in a spoonful of honey, pour this mixture into the bath. The essential oils themselves are insoluble in water, the drops would float on the surface.
Massage - add a few drops of essential oil to cold pressed vegetable oil (approx 50 ml) and mix well. Pleasant massage.
Sauna - choose from conifer, rosemary, eucalyptus, sage, mint or citrus scents. The amount of drops depends on the size of the sauna and your taste.

Essential oils are also popularly used in skin care, topical compresses, hair masks, oral care...
