The glass bottle with spray closure represents a professional solution for packaging cosmetic preparations and liquid blends where precise, fine and hygienic dosing directly into the mouth of the container is important. The opaque white glass helps protect sensitive components from the effects of light and contributes to the stability of the formulation during storage and use.
This packaging is suitable for filling various liquid products where an even application in the form of a fine mist or local spray is required. The combination of the glass bottle and spray head guarantees comfortable use, easy application and clean handling without the fingers coming into contact with the contents.
Glass bottles with a spray mechanism are compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, atomisers or practical applicators) according to the selected parameters. Combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation), so that you can be sure that the packaging works optimally with your product.
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
The packaging can be reused if hygiene rules are observed, especially for home manufacture of cosmetics. Before each new filling, the bottle and spray mechanism must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol solution, for example using IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or 96% denatured plant ethanol. Thorough hygiene helps minimise the risk of microbial contamination and extends the usability of the finished product.
Before refilling, we recommend first rinsing the bottle with a remainder of a compatible solvent (e.g. water or hydrolat for aqueous formulations), then washing it with warm water and a suitable cleaning agent, rinsing thoroughly and allowing it to dry completely. Only then should you disinfect the inner surface and spray head with alcohol (for example IPA 99% or ethanol 96%). After disinfection, leave all parts to air out and dry well to minimise residual alcohol odour.
This type of bottle with spray is ideal for liquid, low-viscosity products that need to be applied as a fine spray or mist. These are mainly aqueous solutions, hydrolats, facial toners, hydrating sprays, light hair sprays or disinfection solutions. For thicker emulsions or oil blends, we recommend always testing the functionality of the atomiser in advance – in particular the quality of atomisation and the possibility of nozzle clogging.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it in accordance with local waste sorting rules and the information in the product parameters. The glass part of the bottle can in most cases be placed in the container intended for glass after removing any remaining contents. The plastic spray mechanism and any other plastic parts should be separated and placed in the container for mixed or plastic waste in accordance with local regulations and the recycling symbols indicated with the product. Before recycling, it is always advisable to rinse the packaging to remove product residues.
The simplest way to choose is to use the extended filter in the packaging categories. After clicking on the relevant category (for example bottles, medicine bottles or atomisers), you will find in the upper part of the page the option to filter according to several parameters. You can select a specific neck finish, the required size, colour and material of the packaging. In this way you quickly narrow down the selection to packaging that will be most suitable for your formulation and intended dosing method.
When filling, it is important to work in the cleanest environment possible, to use clean tools and packaging that has been washed and disinfected in advance. It is not recommended to overfill the bottle right up to the neck – leaving a small free space above the liquid level facilitates the correct function of the atomiser. Store finished products at a stable room temperature, away from direct sunlight and sources of heat. In the case of formulations with a higher alcohol content or volatile components, we recommend longer-term testing of the tightness and functionality of the spray so that you can be sure that the packaging is suitable even for longer storage.
