The glass bottle with ribbed safety cap is a professional packaging solution suitable for filling a wide range of liquid and dropper-type preparations. The dark glass helps protect more sensitive components from unwanted light, which makes the packaging particularly suitable for formulations where stability and quality during storage are important. The safety cap with tamper-evident feature is a practical solution for products where a controlled first opening and reliable closure are required.
This glass bottle is compatible with various types of caps and dispensing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, sprayers or practical applicators) according to the parameters selected for the product. The packaging–cap combinations that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test – in particular with regard to sealing, dosing accuracy and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation.
All technical parameters of the packaging are specified in the enclosed Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters. When selecting a suitable bottle, we recommend following the stated data so that the packaging is as well adapted as possible to the type and viscosity of the product being filled.
The dark glass helps reduce exposure to light, which is practical for formulations containing plant oils, extracts or other light-sensitive components. For long-term stability we additionally recommend paying attention to proper storage in a dry place, at an appropriate temperature and without direct sunlight. Always test the suitability of the packaging on your own formulation in a smaller pilot batch.
The glass packaging can be reused if hygienic principles are observed. Before each refilling, the bottle must be thoroughly cleaned, rinsed and subsequently disinfected with a suitable agent, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After disinfection, allow the packaging to dry completely so that moisture does not accumulate inside and conditions for the growth of microorganisms do not arise.
If you decide not to use the bottle further, we recommend that after emptying and basic rinsing you hand it over for collection according to the material specified in the product parameters. The glass body of the bottle is normally placed in a container designated for glass, and the cap and any sealing components are sorted according to their material (plastic or other material). Always follow the local recycling regulations of your municipality or city.
Before first use we recommend visually inspecting the bottle, rinsing it and, depending on the nature of your formulation, also disinfecting it. When filling, choose a suitable product temperature so that it does not exceed the recommendations stated in the packaging parameters. After filling, always test the sealing – close the bottle, turn it upside down and check whether any leakage of contents or seepage around the thread and cap occurs.
