Glass bottle – medicine bottle in brown design is a professional packaging suitable for filling cosmetic formulations, pharmaceutical preparations and specialized blends where protection of light-sensitive components is important. High-quality brown glass helps protect the contents from the undesirable effects of external influences, thereby contributing to the stability and longer usability of liquid and low-viscosity products. Thanks to the practical glossy dispenser, it enables comfortable, controlled and hygienic dispensing without unnecessary contact with the surroundings.
This glass bottle is designed as a stand-alone packaging and is compatible with various types of closures and dispensing systems according to the selected product parameters – for example with screw caps, droppers, spray pumps or practical applicators. Combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation) so that you can be sure the packaging works reliably with your specific product.

Yes, the glass medicine bottle is suitable for most cosmetic formulations, including products containing essential oils and active substances, provided these substances are compatible with the glass and the dispenser used. Before introducing the product to the market, we recommend performing your own stability and compatibility test to verify the behaviour of your specific formula over time.
The packaging can be reused provided you follow basic hygiene principles and clean it thoroughly after each use. Before refilling, the bottle and the dispenser must always be cleaned and disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based product, for example with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For this purpose, you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Only afterwards do we recommend refilling the packaging again to minimize the risk of microbial contamination and impact on product stability.
We recommend verifying compatibility by filling the bottle with your product and leaving it for a certain period of time under the conditions in which it will actually be used (normal temperature, storage, handling). Monitor in particular the tightness of the closure, any changes in the colour or odour of the contents, changes on the inner surface of the glass or on the plastic parts of the dispenser, and the consistency of the product. In the case of more viscous formulations, also check the smoothness and dose when pressing the dispenser. If no changes occur, you can consider the packaging suitable for the given formula.
If you decide not to use the packaging further, we recommend first emptying it as thoroughly as possible and removing any product residues. The glass body of the bottle is usually sorted as packaging glass (according to local waste sorting rules), while the plastic or metal parts of the dispenser belong in the appropriate container for sorted waste or in mixed waste if the local system does not allow separate sorting of these materials. Always adapt the specific recycling method to the information in the product parameters and to the local rules for waste collection and recycling in your municipality or city.
