Is this plastic medicine bottle also suitable for long-term storage of more sensitive formulations?

The dark design of the medicine bottle helps to reduce light exposure to the contents, which is advantageous for sensitive solutions, oils or serums. For long-term storage, we always recommend verifying the compatibility of the specific formulation with the plastic used and the aluminum cap – for example in the form of a stability test under the real conditions in which your product will be stored.

Can I repeatedly use this bottle for different products?

The packaging can be used repeatedly if strict hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle and the cap must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected with a suitable agent, for example using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For this purpose, you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. When changing the type of product (for example from aromatic blends to a facial serum) we recommend using the packaging only if you are certain that all residues of the original filling have been completely removed.

How should I correctly clean and disinfect the medicine bottle before the next filling?

After the contents have been used up, we first recommend mechanical cleaning (rinsing with a suitable medium, for example a cleaning solution or water, if this is sufficient for the given product). Subsequently, it is appropriate to treat the inner surface of the packaging and the cap with disinfectant alcohol and let it dry completely. For disinfection, the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based are ideal. Before refilling, make sure that no residues of the original product or the cleaning agent remain in the packaging.

How can I dispose of or recycle this packaging in an environmentally friendly way if I no longer want to use it?

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend its recycling according to the material composition given in the parameter table with the product. The plastic part of the bottle can usually be sorted into the appropriate container for plastics and the aluminum cap into metal waste, but always follow the local waste sorting rules and the recommendations provided with the product. Before handing over to sorted collection, it is appropriate to empty the packaging and remove any product residues.
