The glass roll-on is an elegant and practical packaging solution, ideal for precise application of cosmetic products with a liquid or gel consistency. Thanks to the roll-on system, it enables comfortable, hygienic and economical application without the need to touch with fingers, which helps protect more sensitive formulations from contamination and deterioration.
This type of packaging is popular for packing products intended for local application – from perfume oils and aromatherapeutic blends to special treatment serums. Glass as a material is stable and neutral in the long term, which makes it a suitable choice for storing various cosmetic blends that require reliable protection and a representative appearance of the packaging.
Glass roll-on bottles are compatible with various types of dosing components, with the roll-on system ensuring convenient application of the product directly onto the skin. When choosing, we recommend taking into account the type of formulation and the desired method of application, so that the final product is user-friendly and functional.
All combinations of packaging and caps created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation) to ensure the long-term stability and safety of the product.

The glass roll-on is generally suitable for most oil-based and water-based cosmetic products, such as perfume oils, serums or light emulsions. Before final filling, we always recommend performing a compatibility test – filling a small trial amount, monitoring the behaviour of the product in the packaging and checking the sealing of the roll-on ball during long-term use.
The packaging can be reused if proper hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle and the roll-on mechanism must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable agent, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For disinfection, you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After completely drying, the packaging can be refilled.
First, we recommend removing the residues of the original product by rinsing with a suitable solvent (for example a vegetable oil for oil blends or water with a mild cleaning agent for water-based formulations). Then rinse the bottle and the roll-on part with clean water and allow them to dry. Finally, disinfect the packaging using a suitable alcohol, such as IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based, and after the alcohol has completely evaporated you can proceed to filling.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it in accordance with local waste sorting rules. The glass part of the bottle can, after removing product residues and components made of other materials, be placed in the container designated for glass. The roll-on mechanism and the cap made of another material should be sorted according to the marking given in the product parameters. Before handing over for recycling, it is advisable to rinse the packaging so that no larger cosmetic residues remain in it.
