HDPE plastic bottle is a universal packaging suitable for professional and artisan packaging of a wide range of liquid and slightly viscous formulations. The durable material ensures reliable protection of the contents during normal use, transport and storage, while at the same time allowing convenient handling in the laboratory, workshop or home production.
Thanks to its properties, this practical plastic bottle is ideal for cosmetic products, technical solutions and auxiliary raw materials. The smooth surface is suitable for additional labelling with a label or for writing on, thus supporting clear and professional labelling of each product.
Individual plastic bottles of this type are compatible with various types of closures and dosing methods (for example screw caps, droppers, sprayers or practical applicators) according to the selected parameters for the specific product. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test – especially of sealing, dosing comfort and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with your specific formulation.
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
The HDPE bottle is generally resistant and suitable for many common aqueous and some alcohol-based solutions, or mildly technical formulations. However, for concentrated or chemically more aggressive components it is always necessary to carry out your own compatibility test – fill a smaller amount of product, leave it to stand for a certain time and monitor any changes in the material (softening, colour change, warping or leakage of the closure).
The packaging can be reused if basic hygiene principles are observed and after thorough cleaning. Before each new filling we recommend first washing the bottle mechanically and then disinfecting it with a suitable agent, for example using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For disinfection you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. When changing the type of contents (for example from a technical solution to a cosmetic one) we recommend permanently discarding the packaging or using it only within one product line.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the type of material indicated in the product parameters. For HDPE this is generally a plastic that belongs in the separate collection of plastics. Before placing it in sorted waste, it is advisable to empty the bottle, possibly rinse out any residue of contents and separate any other materials (for example paper labels or a closure made of another type of plastic, if technically possible). Always follow the local rules for separate collection in your municipality or city.
Thanks to its low weight and impact resistance, the HDPE bottle is also suitable for carrying and travelling; however, we always recommend paying attention to carefully tightening the closure and using additional protection for liquid formulations (for example placing it in a resealable bag). For air transport, follow the restrictions for liquids and, if necessary, choose additional protection against accidental opening (tamper-evident band, shrink wrap, secondary packaging).
The simplest way to choose is to use the advanced filter in the packaging category. After clicking on the relevant category, a panel with filtering options will appear at the top of the page, where you can select the appropriate neck, size, colour and material of the packaging. Thanks to the combination of these parameters, you will quickly narrow down the offer only to bottles, jars or pots that meet your technological requirements and product design.
