The glass bottle with spray pump is a practical and aesthetic packaging for delicate liquid preparations where precise and hygienic dosing in the form of a mist is important. Thanks to its high-quality glass, it is suitable for filling various cosmetic formulations and homemade blends where stability, long-term protection of the contents and comfortable use are required. The dark glass also provides natural protection from light, helping to reduce the risk of degradation of sensitive components.
Glass bottles in this category are compatible with various types of closures and dispensing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, spray pumps or practical applicators) according to the selected parameters. Combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation), so that you can be sure the solution will be reliable even during long-term use.

Yes, the bottle can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, we recommend cleaning the packaging thoroughly and then disinfecting it, ideally using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, for example with the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. This minimises the risk of contamination and extends the stability of your preparations.
It is advisable to first rinse the spray pump with warm water and then fill it with a small amount of clean water or a thin alcohol solution, which you “spray through” several times to flush the internal channel. For thick or oily blends, we recommend immediate rinsing after use to prevent clogging. When cleaning, avoid aggressive chemicals and high temperatures in order not to damage the plastic parts of the mechanism.
The glass bottle is generally very suitable for formulations containing essential oils as well as alcohol, since glass is a stable and inert material. With higher oil concentrations or highly concentrated perfume compositions, we recommend always testing the compatibility of the specific blend with the spray pump used – focusing on spray smoothness, sealing and long-term storage of the filled product.
If you decide not to use the packaging further, we recommend first emptying it and removing any product residues. The glass part of the bottle can be placed in the standard glass collection according to the local recycling rules indicated in the product parameters. The plastic spray pump (the upper part with the mechanism and dip tube) should be separated from the glass and placed in the separate plastics collection, if the local collection system allows it. By separating the individual materials, you increase the likelihood of their effective recycling.
