The brown glass medicine bottle represents a professional solution for packaging products that require stable, chemically resistant and aesthetic packaging. The dark glass helps protect more sensitive contents from light, which is important for cosmetic formulations, botanical extracts and other sensitive preparations. In combination with a precise dosing closure, this bottle is suitable for liquid and dropwise products where dose control and convenient application are important.
Glass bottles of this type are compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, sprayers or practical applicators) according to the selected parameters for the products in the e‑shop. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test – verifying sealing, dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation.

It is located at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant category and allows filtering according to several parameters – for example according to neck type, size, colour or material. Thanks to this, you can easily find packaging that will correspond to your formulation and the required dosing method.
The glass medicine bottle is, if hygiene principles are observed, suitable for repeated use. Before each new filling it is necessary to clean the packaging thoroughly and then disinfect it, ideally using alcohol-based disinfectants such as isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For this purpose you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol and Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Only after the alcohol has completely dried and aired out is the bottle ready for further safe use.
Before repeated use, we recommend first mechanically cleaning the bottle of residues of the original product, then rinsing it with a suitable cleaning agent and thoroughly rinsing with water. Afterwards, disinfection must be carried out – a proven method is rinsing or spraying with alcohol, for example using IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After disinfection, allow the container and the closure to dry and air naturally so that no residues of alcohol or moisture remain in the packaging.
If you decide not to reuse the bottle, we recommend recycling it responsibly. Glass is a material that can be recycled repeatedly and over the long term, therefore it is appropriate to place the clean glass container in the glass container according to local separated collection. Before disposal, remove any remaining contents, any label, and check the recommendations in the parameter table for the product on the Handymade.sk website, where you will find specific recycling recommendations for the given type of packaging and its components (for example separate sorting of the plastic closure).
The glass medicine bottle is particularly suitable for products that require good chemical stability of the packaging and protection from light. These include, for example, oil serums, concentrated active solutions, herbal tinctures, aromatherapy blends and other preparations where interaction between contents and packaging is undesirable. Dark glass helps reduce the risk of degradation of sensitive components such as plant oils, vitamins or certain natural extracts during normal storage.
