The glass bottle with spray pump is a practical and aesthetic packaging for the fine dispersion of cosmetic and aromatherapeutic preparations. It is particularly suitable for filling liquid products where precise dosing in the form of a mist is required, for example for toners, hydrating sprays or perfume blends. When used correctly, glass is a stable and reliable packaging material that does not disrupt the composition of the contents and supports the professional presentation of the final product.
This packaging is supplied as a combination of glass bottle + spray pump, so it is ready for immediate filling and use. The combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test – checking the sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation (viscosity, alcohol content, oil phase etc.).
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
In general, glass is a very stable material and is suitable for formulations containing alcohol or essential oils. However, we recommend always performing your own compatibility test of the specific formula – checking the stability of the fragrance, colour and viscosity of the product in contact with the glass and the spray pump during longer-term storage, so that you can be sure the packaging is optimal for your product.
Yes, the packaging can be reused if handled correctly and if hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, the bottle and the spray pump must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured, plant-based. This reduces the risk of microbial contamination and of the new fill quality being affected by residues of the previous product.
It is recommended to fill a smaller test quantity of the product into the bottle, check the spraying performance (fineness of the mist, evenness of the spray, spring return) and then monitor the packaging for several weeks. Check the sealing to see whether any leakage, sticking of the mechanism, changes in the product’s colour or odour, or possible discolouration or coating on the inner walls of the packaging occur. If everything is in order after the test period, the combination can be considered suitable for regular use.
If you do not wish to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the material composition given in the product parameters. The glass part of the bottle can usually be sorted into the glass container after removing any product residues, while the plastic or metal parts of the spray pump must be sorted according to the material type, or handed over within municipal waste collection if they cannot be recycled. Before discarding, it is advisable to rinse the packaging in order to minimize cosmetic residues in the waste.
To make selection easier, you can use the advanced filter located at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant packaging category. In the filter, you can clearly select parameters such as neck type, size, colour or packaging material, and thus display only those bottles, pharmaceutical bottles or jars that meet your requirements. This significantly speeds up the process of choosing suitable packaging for a specific product.
