Linden hydrolate is prepared by steam distillation of this plant, and so, in addition to water, it also contains the volatile substances released with the steam in the preparation of this floral water. You will appreciate lime flower water for its pleasantly mild sweet scent and its ability to soothe irritated skin and relieve redness. It has anti-inflammatory properties and you can also use lime flower water to care for sunburnt skin or tight and dry skin.

Linden flower water, lime hydrolate, helps to brighten and soften the skin and is suitable for all skin types, including application to the hair. Flower water can be used in all water-based products, or as a replacement for a portion of demineralised water.

Dosage 1-100%

Floral or flower water is an aromatic water that is produced as a by-product of the production of essential oils. It is a high quality, pure natural product. Since it is created during the distillation of essential oils, it contains all the valuable plant essences, but in a much milder form. Usually containing less than 1% essential oil, they can therefore be used directly on the skin. They are also suitable for pregnant women and newborns (depending on the specific herb). Flower waters support the skin's natural pH, soothe and refresh the skin, and have healing effects on inflamed and damaged skin.

They can be used alone or in combination with other ingredients as a skin and body tonic, in the manufacture of creams, body milks and clay masks. Reach for it when you need a make-up remover, cleansing lotion, mouthwash or soothing poultice for tired eyes, a base for aromatic body sprays and perfumes, an additive for shampoos, shower gels, fizzy bath bombs to scent rooms. Certain fragrances are antiseptic.
