Product description

Packaging material from the Handymade range is designed for safe and professional packing of cosmetic preparations, homemade formulations and artisanal products. Thanks to its high‑quality workmanship, it is suitable for packing liquid, gel and powder blends and allows comfortable handling during filling, storage and use. The carefully selected material provides reliable protection of the contents and long‑term stability of the final product.

Possible uses

  • packaging of face and body creams, serums, oils, fluids and toners
  • practical bottles and jars for shampoos, conditioners, shower gels and soaps
  • pots and containers for body butters, scrubs, massage balms and ointments
  • medicine bottles and vials for cosmetic tinctures, herbal extracts and hair tonics
  • packaging for aromatherapy blends, perfume compositions and fragrance oils
  • a suitable solution for laboratory samples, testers and smaller trial batches of products

Advantages of the packaging

  • Material stability – the high‑quality packaging material minimizes interactions with the contents and supports the long‑term stability of formulations.
  • Protection of the contents – the well‑thought‑out shape of bottles, jars and medicine bottles reduces the risk of contamination, leakage and mechanical damage during normal handling.
  • Professional appearance – the packaging gives the final product a uniform, aesthetic and representative character suitable for artisanal as well as small‑scale production.
  • Practical handling – the design of the packaging is adapted for convenient filling, closing and dispensing in both home and professional environments.
  • Optimized storage – the shape and design of the packaging enable easy storage of products, legible labelling and efficient organization of production.

Combining with closures and dispensers

Packaging bottles, medicine bottles, jars and pots from the Handymade range are compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems according to the selected parameters of the specific product. In practice, mainly screw caps, droppers, sprayers, pumps or other practical applicators can be used; these facilitate precise dosing and hygienic use of the final formulation. Combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).

Technical parameters

All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.

FAQ – Frequently asked questions

You offer many types of packaging – how can I find the right one for my product?

When choosing packaging, we recommend using the advanced filter in the packaging category. After clicking on the relevant category (for example bottles, jars, medicine bottles), you will find the filter in the upper part of the page. There you can conveniently set the required parameters, such as neck type, size, colour and packaging material. This allows you to quickly narrow the selection down to packaging that is suitable for your specific product and method of application.

Is it possible to use this packaging repeatedly for home or artisanal production?

The packaging can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, it is necessary to clean the packaging thoroughly by mechanical means, remove residues of the previous filling and then disinfect it. For disinfection we recommend using IPA or ethanol products, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant‑based. After disinfection, allow the packaging to dry completely so that the stability of your new formulation is not compromised.

How should I correctly test the compatibility of the packaging with my product?

Before filling the entire batch, we recommend carrying out a small trial test. Fill a smaller amount of the finished formulation into the selected packaging and observe the behaviour of the packaging and the contents over several days to weeks. Check in particular the tightness of the closure, the functionality of the pump or sprayer, changes in consistency or fragrance and any discolouration or clouding of the walls of the packaging. If possible, perform the test also under conditions similar to actual use (transport, normal storage, repeated opening).

How can I safely dispose of or recycle the packaging if I do not want to use it repeatedly?

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it appropriately according to the type of material specified in the product parameters. Before handing it over for separate collection, remove any product residues, empty the packaging as much as possible and, if possible, rinse it. Then place it in the appropriate recycling container according to the symbol and material designation. Recycling instructions may differ depending on the local collection system, so it is advisable to also follow the recommendations of your local recycling centre or municipality.

How do I choose a suitable type of closure, pump or sprayer for the selected packaging?

When choosing a closure or dosing system, it is important to monitor the neck compatibility of the packaging and the closure, as well as the character of your formulation. Liquid and low‑viscosity products often require droppers or sprayers, while thicker creams and gels are better suited to pumps or disc top closures. In the recommended combinations on Handymade you will find packaging and closures that have been tested together. Nevertheless, before series filling we recommend verifying sealing, convenience of dosing and the behaviour of the product in the packaging during real‑life use.

How should I store the packaging before filling so that it retains its properties?

Packaging should be stored in a dry, clean and dust‑free environment, protected from direct sunlight and significant temperature fluctuations. Keep it in the original packaging or covered in order to minimize the deposition of dust and impurities inside bottles, jars or medicine bottles. Before actual filling, visually inspect the packaging and, if necessary, rinse and disinfect it to ensure maximum hygiene and stability of your cosmetic or artisanal products.
