For significantly thick creams, dosing may be limited or uncomfortable. We always recommend testing the behaviour of the specific recipe in the packaging and, based on the result, choosing a suitable type of container (for example a jar or another type of pump).

The packaging can be reused if strict hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle and dispenser must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable agent, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For disinfection you can use the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol and ethanol 96% denatured, plant-based. After thorough rinsing and drying, you can refill the packaging, and it is particularly important between different types of products (e.g. oil- and water-based systems) to remove all residues of the original formulation.

Before recycling, we recommend emptying the bottle and removing product residues as much as possible. Then follow the instructions given in the parameter table for the product on the Handymade website, where you will find information on the material type and the recommended sorting method. Usually it is necessary to separate the body of the container from the dispenser, as they may be made of different materials. Then place the packaging in the appropriate container according to local waste sorting rules, so that the material can be reprocessed in the recycling process.

Before filling, the packaging must be clean, dry and disinfected in order to minimize the risk of microbial contamination. When filling, avoid excessively high temperatures that could negatively affect the container material or the stability of the cosmetic formulation. After filling, we recommend storing the bottle in a dry place, protected from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures, in accordance with the specification and recommendations for the specific product that you are filling into it.
