Before final filling, we always recommend performing your own compatibility test – fill a smaller amount of product and monitor the behaviour of the plastic, the sealing of the spray pump and the functionality of the mechanism over time. For long-term storage, it is important to check the packaging regularly and follow the recommended storage conditions of the manufacturer of the filled mixture.

The packaging can be reused if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, it is necessary to thoroughly clean and disinfect both the bottle and the spray pump. For disinfection we recommend using a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example isopropyl alcohol available on the site as IPA 99 % or plant-based ethanol Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After rinsing and disinfection, allow all parts to dry completely and only then refill the packaging in order to minimise the risk of microbial contamination and product deterioration.

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend responsible recycling according to the material type specified in the parameter table for the product on the Handymade website. Before placing it in sorted waste, it is advisable to empty the bottle, if necessary rinse out any product residues and separate the plastic components (bottle body and spray mechanism), if the construction allows this. Then dispose of the individual parts in the appropriate containers according to local rules for collection and recycling of packaging.

When storing and using the packaging, it is important to avoid extreme conditions such as high temperatures, direct sunlight and contact with aggressive chemicals that are not intended for use with the given type of plastic. Store the packaging in a dry, clean place away from sources of heat and open flames. During transport, we recommend checking whether the spray pump is firmly closed and whether there is any leakage of contents around the thread or through the nozzle, especially with low-viscosity liquids with a higher alcohol content.
