FAQ – Most frequently asked questions

How should I correctly fit the dropper onto the bottle so that it seals well?

Always fit the dropper onto a clean and dry bottle neck. First align it perpendicular to the neck and gently press it down until it sits firmly into the thread or onto the seating surface, depending on the type of packaging. Then close the bottle with the appropriate cap and turn it upside down as a test to verify sealing and controlled dripping. Before filling a larger quantity of product, we recommend carrying out a short test with a small volume to verify the behaviour of the dropper with the specific formulation.

Is it possible to reuse this plastic dropper for home cosmetic production?

The dropper can be reused provided that you observe basic hygiene rules and the material is not mechanically damaged. Before each new filling, the dropper and the bottle must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable agent, for example isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or plant-based ethanol Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Only after the alcohol has completely dried and ventilated off is the dropper ready for reuse with a new batch of product.

What should I do if the dripping speed changes or the dropper stops dripping evenly?

A change in dripping speed is most often caused by residual contaminated mixture or dried product in the dropper channel. In such a case, disassemble the dropper, rinse it thoroughly with a suitable solvent compatible with the original product and then clean it with warm water and detergent. After rinsing, allow the components to dry completely and disinfect them with alcohol. If even after cleaning the dripping does not return to its original state or the material is visibly damaged, we recommend replacing the dropper with a new one.

How can I safely dispose of or recycle the dropper if I no longer want to use it?

If you decide not to use the dropper any further, we recommend recycling it in accordance with the recommendation for the specific material type given in the parameter table for the product. First remove any remaining contents, rinse the component if necessary and allow it to dry.
