The cap can be reused under normal handling as long as it does not show signs of mechanical damage (cracks, thread deformation, reduced tightness). With every refilling it is important to follow basic hygiene principles – before use we recommend thoroughly cleaning the cap and then disinfecting it with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured vegetable. Only after complete drying and airing is the cap ready for reuse.

First, mechanically clean the cap from product residues using warm water and a mild neutral detergent, avoiding aggressive detergents that could damage the plastic. After rinsing, let the cap drain and then apply disinfection – for example IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured vegetable. After treatment with the disinfectant, allow the cap to dry naturally and air thoroughly so that residual alcohol odour is minimised before refilling the container.

If you decide not to use the cap any longer, we recommend recycling it according to the type of plastic specified in the parameter table directly at the product. Before placing it into sorted waste, remove as much product residue as possible by simple rinsing so that the recycling process is not affected. Then dispose of the cap in the container designated for the given type of plastic according to local waste sorting rules. By following this procedure you contribute to more efficient processing of used packaging materials and to reducing environmental burden.

The basis is always the same type and size of thread between the cap and the bottle, which you can find in the parameters of the individual products. Even with matching thread, we recommend performing a compatibility test – after screwing on the cap, fill the bottle with a sample of the product, turn it several times and place it horizontally for a short time. Check whether any leakage occurs and whether the thread remains sufficiently tight after repeated opening and closing. For formulations with a high content of oils or alcohol, it is advisable to test longer-term contact of the product with the packaging as well.
