The glass bottle with dropper is a professional packaging suitable for precise dispensing of liquid formulations in cosmetics as well as in artisanal production. Thanks to the dropper, it allows controlled withdrawal of the contents drop by drop, which is ideal for concentrated blends, active ingredients and valuable oils. The opaque white glass also helps minimize the effect of light on sensitive components and supports the stability and shelf life of the contents.
Glass bottles are compatible with various types of closures and dispensing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, atomizers or practical applicators) according to the selected parameters. Combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we recommend always carrying out your own compatibility test (tightness, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation). When working with this type of glass packaging, we recommend taking into account the nature of the raw materials used and the viscosity of the product so that dosing through the dropper remains comfortable and precise throughout the entire period of use. If another type of dispensing is required, it is appropriate to choose a compatible closure from the range of accessories indicated with the product or in the related categories.
The bottle can be used repeatedly if basic hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, it is necessary to thoroughly clean the entire packaging, rinse it with a suitable cleaning agent and then disinfect it. For disinfection, we recommend using preparations with a high alcohol content, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant‑based. After disinfection, allow the packaging and the dropper to dry thoroughly in a clean place in order to minimize the risk of microbial contamination.
Glass is among stable packaging materials that are also suitable for more demanding formulations containing active ingredients, oils or aromatic components. Opaque white glass limits light penetration, which supports the stability of coloured and light‑sensitive raw materials. Nevertheless, it is always advisable to carry out your own stability test – especially when using new or exceptionally reactive ingredients – and to monitor the behaviour of the product over time (change in colour, scent, viscosity).
The glass packaging can, with proper handling and care, be used repeatedly, including when changing the type of product. However, it is always essential to thoroughly clean and disinfect the bottle and the dropper between uses to prevent undesirable mixing of residues of the original contents. Before refilling, we recommend disinfection using a suitable alcohol, for example the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant‑based. Following these steps helps ensure the hygiene, stability and safe use of your formulations.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend sorting it for separate collection according to the material types specified in the product specifications. The glass part of the bottle can usually be placed in the glass container, while the plastic or composite parts of the dropper (plastic, rubber, possibly metal) should be separated and sorted according to local waste collection rules. Before recycling, it is advisable to remove product residues from the packaging by rinsing. By recycling according to the recommendations in the parameter table provided with the product, you support a more environmentally friendly approach and sustainable handling of packaging materials.
