VANILLA BODY CREAM

Autumn's chilly weather also takes a toll on our skin, especially on the face and hands, which are often dry and cracked. They require more care at this time, so we decided to bring you a recipe for a creamy emulsion that is not only nourishing, but also has a pleasant warm scent of coconut, vanilla and cocoa, without added synthetic fragrances.

The vanilla aroma of this cream is given by our vanilla butter, which is made from vanilla oil by mixing it with hydrogenated vegetable oil. It is well absorbed into the skin and does not leave a greasy feeling, only a pleasant sweet vanilla scent. It is therefore an excellent choice for body creams and lotions

The coconut fragrance is provided by coconut virgin oil.

And the cocoa component comes from natural cocoa butter

Both ingredients are of organic quality, melt on contact with the skin, and provide excellent hydration and nourishment

Let's go to the recipe itself:

7 g - emulsifying ingredient - Olivem 1000 (or you can use BTMS-50)
6 g - virgin coconut oil
6 g - natural cocoa butter
6 g - vanilla butter
73 g - demineralised water
2 g - vegetable glycerin
1 g - Cosgard natural preservative

The same ratio represents the formula, i.e.:

7% - emulsifying ingredient - Olivem 1000 (or you can use BTMS-50)
6 % - virgin coconut oil
6 % - natural cocoa butter
6 % - vanilla butter
73 % - demineralised water
2 % - vegetable glycerine
1 % - Cosgard natural preservative

Procedure:

1. Place the emulsifier, coconut oil, cocoa butter and vanilla butter in a saucepan and melt them together over medium heat.
2. Mix the water and glycerine together (heat to combine).
3. When the fats in the pot are melted and mixed, add the water-glycerin mixture. Stir everything together thoroughly. Only when you are sure that the mixture has combined, remove the pot from the heat source.
4. Whisk the mixture (a regular whisk should be fine). As the mixture cools, it will also become thicker (the thickening/stiffening process also depends greatly on the emulsifying agent you choose, sometimes it takes a couple of days. With Olive 1000 or BTMS-50 the mixture should thicken immediately).
5. Add preservative at the end of whisking. Despite the pleasant natural scents from your chosen ingredients, you can intensify the scent of the cream by adding essential oils (we recommend a maximum of 4 drops to this amount).
We recommend pouring the cream into glass jars, as the mixture would be difficult to pass through a pump.

You can use it on your hands as well as on your body.
