The packaging can be used repeatedly if basic hygiene principles are observed, especially within your own production or when refilling the same type of product. Before each new filling, however, it is necessary to thoroughly clean the bottle and the dispenser and then disinfect them – suitable products include for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alkohol (/ipa-99-isopropyl-alkohol-1-l/){' '}and ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based (/etanol-96-denaturovany-rastlinny-1-l/), which should be allowed to evaporate completely after application. This minimizes the risk of microbial contamination as well as deterioration of the stability of the final product.

Before refilling, we recommend first rinsing the packaging with a suitable cleaning agent or warm water with a mild detergent, then thoroughly rinsing with clean water and allowing it to dry. After drying, it is advisable to treat the internal surfaces, the neck and the dispensing mechanism with an alcohol-based disinfectant – for example IPA 99 % (/ipa-99-isopropyl-alkohol-1-l/){' '}or ethanol 96 % (/etanol-96-denaturovany-rastlinny-1-l/){' '}. After applying the disinfectant, it is important to allow all parts to dry completely so that no alcohol residues remain in the packaging, which could affect the properties of the new product.

The dispensing mechanism is optimized for common liquid and lightly gel-textured cosmetic formulations. For very thick products, dispensing may be slower or less comfortable; for extremely thin solutions, it may be useful to check whether dispensing is not too fast. Therefore, we always recommend first carrying out a trial filling and testing the behaviour of the specific formulation in the given packaging – especially with a high content of oils, alcohol or specific active substances.

If you decide not to use the packaging any further, we recommend first emptying it as thoroughly as possible and removing any product residues. Then proceed according to the recycling recommendations based on the material specified in the product parameter table – depending on the type of plastic, sort it into the appropriate container for plastic waste. In the case of a combination of several materials (for example bottle body, pump, spring), it is advisable, where possible, to separate the individual parts and sort them individually. In this way you support more efficient waste processing within the recycling process.
