Amber Plastic Bottle, Glossy Golden White Pump, 100 ml

The amber PET plastic medicine bottle with pump is ready-made packaging for liquid and semi-liquid cosmetic products that are applied in small amounts. Amber plastic dampens light and helps protect light-sensitive contents. PET is lightweight and does not break when dropped, so it is also suitable for travel or the bathroom. The pump in a white and gold glossy finish dispenses the contents without unscrewing, which limits contact of the product with air and hands. The 100 ml volume corresponds to the usual size of facial serums, body oils and light emulsions for daily care.

What it is suitable for

The set is declared suitable for contact with cosmetic products. It works best where a product is applied repeatedly and in approximately the same amount:

• Facial and hair serums – both water-based and oil-based; the pump dispenses a similar dose with each press.
• Light emulsions and milks – body milks, fluids and light face creams that can be drawn up through the tube.
• Facial, body and massage oils – including oils with antioxidants or extracts, which benefit from dark packaging.
• Cleansing gels and liquid soaps – in a smaller pack, for example for travel or as samples.

Thick creams and butters are drawn up through the pump with difficulty or not at all. For such products, a jar or a different type of closure is more suitable.

How to use the set

The pump is screwed onto the bottle and the tube reaches the bottom, so it draws up the product even at a lower level. One press dispenses a small dose, which suits serums and concentrated products. For body milks, several presses are enough. After filling, press the pump several times until the tube fills and the product starts to come out.

The smoothness of dispensing depends on the viscosity of the contents. Thin water-based serums come out easily, thicker emulsions more slowly. For your own recipe, we recommend filling one piece as a test and checking that the pump works evenly and that the product does not separate in the tube.

Volume and filling

The nominal volume is the volume the packaging is designed for under normal filling. The brimful volume is the physical volume up to the neck and is larger. The difference is a reserve for the pump with its tube and for the expansion of the contents with temperature changes. The bottle is therefore filled only up to the nominal volume. If it is filled to the brim, the product overflows when the pump is screwed on.

Good to know

• Preparation before filling – wash the bottle and the pump before first use, disinfect them with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and let them dry completely. Residual water would dilute anhydrous products and could compromise microbial stability.
• Reuse – the bottle and the pump can be used again after thorough washing. Rinse the pump with warm water and press it several times so that the tube and the valve are cleaned as well.
• Material and contents – PET is intended for both water-based and oil-based cosmetic products. With a high proportion of essential oils, alcohol or other solvents, we recommend checking beforehand that the bottle material does not change in appearance and that the pump seals properly.
• Heat – do not fill the bottle with a hot product. Let emulsions and oils cool to room temperature first, as plastic may deform at higher temperatures.
• Closures – other closures with the same neck type and ready-made bottle + closure combinations can be found in the Handymade range. For your own combination, we recommend checking the seal and dispensing with your specific formulation.
• Recycling – the PET bottle belongs in plastic waste. Separate the pump from the bottle before sorting, as it combines plastic and aluminium.
