Product description

Bacuri virgin butter comes from wild harvesting from the Amazon rainforest in Brazil. It is obtained from the seeds of the fruit of the Platonia Insignis plant. It is a firm, dark brown butter with a characteristic vegetal aroma. Melting point: 35 °C.

It is rich in methionine, an essential amino acid which is the primary source of sulphur in the body. It helps with skin problems and promotes hair and nail growth. It helps stabilise collagen and elastin production, making it a good choice for mature skin products.

It has antibacterial and antifungal properties. It is also used to treat wounds and scars. Due to its distinctive dark colour, it also colours cosmetic products and can be used in creams and body butters to achieve a golden skin tone. It is an ideal ingredient in anti-aging creams, massage oils, anti-stretch mark creams, body butters and balms, hair masks and conditioners.

This product does not contain any of the 26 allergens from the 7th Amendment to the European Union (EU) Cosmetics Directive - Annex III.
