Glass vial of medical type represents a professional packaging suitable for filling various liquid and partially viscous preparations where an accurate dose, long-term stability and a professional appearance of the product are important. High-quality glass is a stable, chemically resistant material that minimizes interactions with the contents and helps preserve their properties throughout the entire period of use. In combination with a correctly selected closure or dispensing component, this vial can provide safe, hygienic and practical packaging for home formulations as well as small-scale production.
The separate glass vial is compatible with various types of closures and dispensing according to the selected parameters in the Handymade.sk offer. You can combine it with screw caps, dropper caps, pipette droppers, atomizers or practical applicators for precise and hygienic application of the product.
Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test – in particular to check sealing, dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation (viscosity, alcohol content, oil-/water-based system, etc.).

The glass medicine bottle is ideal especially for thin to medium viscous liquids, such as toners, aqueous solutions, oil blends or extracts. For thicker products (for example gels or creamier emulsions) we recommend either choosing a combination with a suitable dispensing component or considering another type of packaging that allows comfortable extrusion of the contents. When choosing, always take into account the consistency of the specific product and the method of application.
Yes, the glass packaging can be safely reused if hygiene rules are followed. Before each new filling, it is necessary to clean the vial thoroughly and then disinfect it with a suitable agent, for example using isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 % or plant ethanol Ethanol 96 % denatured. This way you minimize the risk of microbial contamination and an impact on the stability of the new batch of product.
Before first use, we recommend rinsing the vial in warm water with a suitable mild cleaning agent, then rinsing it thoroughly with clean water and letting it dry completely. After drying, it is advisable to disinfect the inner surface with a disinfectant alcohol (e.g. IPA 99 % or Ethanol 96 % denatured) and again let it air out and dry. Only then is the packaging ready for safe filling with the final product.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the usual waste sorting rules. Throw the glass vial free of product residues into a container intended for glass. Sort the closure and any dispensing components made of another material separately according to the labelling given in the product parameters (for example into plastic or metal waste). By following these principles, you will support effective recycling of materials and reduce the amount of mixed waste.
