Yes, the packaging can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, the bottle and the dropper must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable product, for example using isopropyl alcohol or plant-based ethanol. Disinfection helps minimize the risk of microbial contamination and increases the safety of your finished product.

First rinse the bottle to remove residues of the original product, then wash it in warm water with a suitable cleaning agent, rinse thoroughly and allow it to dry completely. After drying, apply disinfection – we recommend rinsing the inside of the packaging and the surface of the dropper with an alcohol-based product, for example IPA 99 % or 96 % plant ethanol. Do not clean the rubber and plastic parts of the dropper at very high temperatures to avoid damaging them.

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it in accordance with the rules given in the product parameters on Handymade.sk. The glass part of the bottle is usually thrown into the container intended for glass, and it is advisable to at least roughly rinse it from product residues. The plastic or rubber parts of the dropper are usually sorted according to the type of material into the appropriate container for plastics, or belong to mixed waste if the recycling recommendations for the product do not state otherwise. By following these principles, you contribute to responsible handling of packaging and to waste reduction.
